Virtual IOP in Austin, Texas
Virtual IOP in Austin
Nova’s virtual intensive outpatient program is the same clinical program its in-person clients receive, delivered securely to a laptop, phone or tablet anywhere in the Austin area.
The sessions are live and interactive, led by a licensed counselor and broadcast from Nova’s licensed Texas facility. They are not pre-recorded videos, and this is not a self-guided app.
It exists for the people whose work, school or family makes getting to a treatment center the thing that stops them starting.

Why Nova’s Virtual IOP, not just any telehealth
- Live and interactive, never pre-recorded.Every group is led in real time by a licensed Texas counselor, so you get genuine clinical guidance and peer connection.
- A real 8-week structure.Three 3-hour groups a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, not a vague “check in weekly” model.
- Mornings or evenings.Choose 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. or 6:00–9:00 p.m. CST so treatment fits around your job, classes, or childcare.
- A full continuum behind it.Because Nova also offers detox, residential rehab, in-person IOP, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and a family program, your care can step up or down without starting over with a new provider.
- Same-day admissions in Austin. When you’re ready, we can often get you started right away.
How Nova's online IOP works
Treatment begins with a confidential assessment so our clinical team can confirm that virtual IOP is the right level of care for you. From there:
- 8-week program built around evidence-based group and individual counseling.
- Three sessions per week (Mon/Wed/Thu), three hours each, in your choice of a morning or evening track.
- Individual counseling, relapse-prevention work, and continuing-care planning so progress carries beyond the program.
- MAT and a Family Program available when they’re a fit for your recovery.
- Join securely from a computer, phone, or tablet, all you need is a private space and an internet connection.
What we treat
Nova’s virtual IOP supports recovery from alcohol and a range of substances, including opioids and fentanyl, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription-medication misuse. Your counselor tailors the work to your history and goals.
Virtual IOP for Austin residents
Austin’s traffic, long commutes, and busy work culture shouldn’t stand between you and treatment. Virtual IOP removes the drive entirely. You can attend a morning group before work or an evening group after the kids are down, from anywhere in Travis County and the surrounding area. It’s a strong fit if you have reliable responsibilities to keep, a supportive home environment, and don’t require 24-hour medical supervision. If at any point you’d benefit from on-site care, our in-person IOP in Austin is right here, and your team can help you transition smoothly.
